The Organic Guide to Baby's First 24 Months: Review and Giveaway

HAPPYBABY has given me the privilege of sharing a wonderful book with you!

The Organic Guide to Baby's First 24 Months

I was really excited to be given the opportunity to review this book as everything "green" is nearly a foreign language to me. With that being said, I dove right into this one as soon as I received it.

Renown pediatrician and author, Dr. Robert Sears, has partnered with HAPPYBABY's registered dietician, Amy Marlow, to co-author this fabulously informative book which outlines the steps to creating a healthy and organic lifestyle for your family... especially your little ones.

HAPPYBABY is a very unique company which specializes in organic baby foods. Their products are not just an alternative, HAPPYBABY is truly a lifestyle. I'm slowly learning with a ton of help from this book!

From HAPPYBABY;

“HappyBaby The Organic Guide to Baby’s First 24 Months, focuses on the most crucial and confusing time for growing families: the beginning. This book is the one-stop source for new moms and dads who are committed to having the healthiest, happiest family possible.

Topics Include:

•Easy, healthy & delicious recipes for babies and toddlers
•Proper nutrition for nursing moms
•Dealing with post-pregnancy stress
•How to teach caregivers to be health-conscious in your absence
•Managing immunization schedules and planning family activities
•How to create an environmentally sound and baby-friendly household without hazardous chemicals and toxins.
•A checklist for baby and toddler wellness
•Choosing safe products for baby and your home

This groundbreaking book offers a proactive, harmonious approach to parenting that’s easier, greener, and just plain better for your precious infant or toddler.”

When I first opened the book, I was pleased to find an array of tips and tricks in the opening pages defining what it means to live a healthy and "green" lifestyle. They touch on cleaning with safe products, food, waste, energy saving, water bottles, and reusable shopping bags. For someone new to the life of "green" living like myself, these tips were incredibly helpful and formed a great starting point.

The remaining chapters are very well-organized and follow a timeline from the baby's birth all the way to a thriving 2 year old. There are tips for breastfeeding, hints on BPA-free products, advice for healthy meals for Mamas, how to make your own baby food with recipes, and much much more! The book is filled with charts and tables which makes it easy to read and even easier to understand. It is sure to be my go-to reference guide for green living!

Towards the end of the book, they shift gears into bring "green" into the rest of your home. They discuss diapers, toys, green cleaning, etc. I really enjoyed this particular section! I love the green alternatives, and I like to implement them into our lifestyle wherever I can. This chapter breaks it down into an easy-to-understand format!
