- Easy-to-read books on infant and toddler care.
- Large (and super soft) swaddling blankets.
- Monthly Newsletters
- Parenting Seminars
- In-home and telephone consultations for personalized family plans.
As a first-time parent, I can honestly say that the book, Moms On Call: Guide to Basic Baby Care: The First 6 Months, was a vital part of my life. My husband and I found ourselves consulting this book with everything from the silly little questions to the moments when we considered rushing our daughter to the Emergency Room. The book gave us tips to figure out if our daughter was getting enough to eat, how to help her sleep through the night, vaccinations, what to expect from doctor's visits, and honest fact-based opinions we knew we could trust.
This manual and DVD combination covers information that you need to know to navigate the daily routines of parenting a newborn. It covers the essential information, tips, and tricks about bedtime, nail clipping, bathing, congestion, and safety topics down to the nitty gritty details for understanding your Pediatrician's office and even the Emergency Room. The book also gives great examples of daily routines to follow including feeding, napping, playtime, and more. In addition, there are lists of what two Pediatric nurses have in their medicine cabinets to prevent midnight trips to the pharmacy and the essentials to have on hand when preparing for your baby's arrival. The DVD provides step-by-step instructions on nail clipping, swaddling, bathing, rectal temperatures, diaper changes, and more!
My favorite part of the book, aside from all the instructions, was the list of symptoms that which accompany common illnesses and which ones warranted immediate attention.
Moms On Call also offers a swaddling blanket which is the PERFECT size. The 44" x 44" blanket is much larger than those sold in stores. It is ultra soft yet strong enough to keep your newborn snuggled tight!
This book and blanket have become my #1 Shower Gift!

I learned there are 3 consultants and they are all nurses and they can give you a phone call consult or also consult through email(after you complete their online course) for various fees. They can also help you deal with toddler issues, such as throwing tantrums - something I could use today. :)

Wow... I learned that these moms are experts due to the fact that they are both pediatric nurses and have 8 children between them. I would trust their advice! I also think it's great how they admit that they and their products aren't perfect. Nothing in life is!

I learned swaddling is one of the topics covered in the Moms on Call series and swaddling has helped many of their client's babies sleep longer thru the nite.

ReplyDeleteYou can buy their products at some stores in Atlanta.
ReplyDeleteI learned that these moms are very experienced and are Christians. Also that most baby blankets are too small for swaddling.

I learned that they are both mothers, who can give the most real advice. They are both pediatric nurses, so they've seen and experienced many things. I would trust them whole heartedly. Everyone is different and not everything works for each one of us, but I'm happy they are open to admitting that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this wonderful information.
