They should permanently add this to the menu!" Even our 2 year old seemed to enjoy it! Hallmark.com Baby Product Review and Giveaway

I have been given the privilege of reviewing Hallmark.com's latest and greatest product line of all things BABY! They have introduced the cutest and sweetest line of personalized Baby Announcements, Shower Invitations, Thank You cards, and much more to their already fantastic product selection.

Hallmark is known for their fabulous greeting cards, and they maintain a wonderful reputation with all of their products. So, of course, I am happy to report their baby line is nothing less! Each of these items offers very high-end and upscale design that far exceeds any others in their price range. The Birth Announcements start at $0.99 each for a basic flat photo announcement; however, their more expensive options are also beyond reasonably priced. To get this quality and custom look, many competitors charge hundreds of dollars! There is also an awesome volume discount for each card. The discount begins as soon as you order more than ONE!

Each of their products are easily personalized with your own photos, messages, and special touches unique to every card. The process is simple as pie!

First, you can browse hundreds of different baby items to find the perfect product for your occasion. (They even have announcements designed for adoption and multiples which I thought was a very special touch.) Their line is so curiously cute that I had a hard time choosing samples to show you in this post. I am in love with nearly all of them for one reason or another.

Then, you are given the option to edit everything from the wording, font color, photos, and even the back! On many cards/announcements, you can add a small additional photo on the back with a simple little message. Personally, I think this is a very unique and luxury feature!

I played around with many of the announcements and invitations to get a feel for the personalization process, and I'm thrilled to report it was super easy. I was able to add my own message to each one, and the photo editing was great! I was really excited about starting with such awesome foundations and having the ability to make it my own! With such great personalization options, I honestly believe Hallmark offers a little something for everyone.

I would recommend using a high-quality photo. The reason I say that is because Hallmark uses a smart photo feature which automatically aligns your photo for you. Like most programs, it does require some slight tweaking. I had to use the zoom feature to get my photo "Mama Perfect." So, I would recommend using an image that is print quality in case you need to zoom in as well.

I had an "AH-HA! Moment" when I found out that Hallmark would not only make beautiful cards for you, but they were also willing to stamp, address, and mail them for you on any date you choose! The only extra fees were the price of stamps! What an awesome feature to offer (especially for new parents who are infinitely busy with their new bundle of joy!)

Ab-so-lutely fantastic. This is another product that I'm angry I didn't come up with myself!
When I first opened the box, I was a little intimidated by the all the pieces to attach the handle, but I soon realized it was incredibly simple! It literally took me 5 minutes to put it together, and we were ready for a test ride. We used it at a local festival so we could get the full effect. In the beginning you have to get used to pushing the stroller with your legs opposed to your arm, but once you get the hang of it, all is well. '

When I first opened the book, I was pleased to find an array of tips and tricks in the opening pages defining what it means to live a healthy and "green" lifestyle. They touch on cleaning with safe products, food, waste, energy saving, water bottles, and reusable shopping bags. For someone new to the life of "green" living like myself, these tips were incredibly helpful and formed a great starting point.

The remaining chapters are very well-organized and follow a timeline from the baby's birth all the way to a thriving 2 year old. There are tips for breastfeeding, hints on BPA-free products, advice for healthy meals for Mamas, how to make your own baby food with recipes, and much much more! The book is filled with charts and tables which makes it easy to read and even easier to understand. It is sure to be my go-to reference guide for green living!

Towards the end of the book, they shift gears into bring "green" into the rest of your home. They discuss diapers, toys, green cleaning, etc. I really enjoyed this particular section! I love the green alternatives, and I like to implement them into our lifestyle wherever I can. This chapter breaks it down into an easy-to-understand format!

In addition, I was happy to find some of my daughter's favorite items mixed with items she isn't so crazy about. This makes it much easier to introduce foods into her daily diet that she wouldn't normally eat, and a great way for me to sneak in ultra healthy ingredients without her picking them out!

On top of the creative solutions, I appreciated the USDA Nutrition Facts which accompanied each recipe. Not only was this an interesting feature, but it was also an added sense of assurance. In addition to the nutrition facts, the recipes show vibrant pictures with images of the end result and/or key steps in the recipe. This is fabulous for moms like me who like to know what their goal is "supposed" to look like.

Some of our favorites included Berries N' Banana Cream and Frosted Zucchini. When trying the new foods, it was very helpful to be able to refer to the survival tips in the beginning. Not only did they provide useful information, but it was encouraging to know that I was not alone in my toddler food struggles. Now if they would only make a So Easy Husband Food book, I would be set!

Boogie Wipes: Review and Giveaway

I had the privilege of reviewing a fabulous product line called, Boogie Wipes.

"Snot Your Average Wipe!"

It's bad enough when your little one is sick, but it's even worse that you must attack their face with a bulb syringe, tissue, or baby wipe to get the icky sticky boogies. Thanks to Julie and Mindee, the moms behind Boogie Wipes, this experience doesn't have to be as traumatizing! When they couldn't find a solution to their snotty nose Mama Drama, they invented it.


At first, I was a bit skeptical to hear about a wipe especially designed to get those stuck on boogies off my daughter's face. Thankfully, they arrived just in time! My darling daughter was going through a nasty sinus infection with a terribly snotty nose. Mornings were filled with tears as I had to forcefully wipe the dried mucus off her face and clear her nose so the poor thing could breathe. At this point, I was desperate to try anything to make this less of a chore for me and less painful for her. When the Boogie Wipes hit the mailbox, I was beyond thrilled to give them a try.

The first thing I noticed were the different scents that are available. I received samples of Great Grape, Fresh, and Minty Menthol. (They are also available in "Simply Unscented.") Once I opened up one of the sample packs, I was impressed to find the wipe to be large, very durable, and super soft. I was eager to give them a try, so I called over my own little boogie monster and did the test!

Boogie Wipes are saline infused wet wipes which makes them perfect for dissolving dried boogies and soothing sore chapped noses. I'm thrilled to say, that I will be a Boogie Wipes Mom forever! Not only did these wipes get the sticky mucus off, but she rather enjoyed it! She loved the Great Grape scented wipe and insisted on wiping her own nose with it repeatedly! (Such a difference compared to the chase that would normally ensue when I would pull out a tissue. I'm not a huge fan of the Great Grape scent, but if she likes it, then hey... I can't complain. I'm actually rather fond of the Fresh Scent myself.) The wipe held up wonderfully as I cleaned up her little face and tidied up her nose; it was thick and maintained its moisture.

Book Review: Chloe Finds a Lucky Secret

Thanks to Suzanne Conti, author and illustrator, I had the opportunity to read an absolutely adorable children's book called, Chloe Finds a Lucky Secret.

In this creative story, children are given the opportunity to discover the beauties of being who they are through the colorful characters of Tuttle Town.

The main character is a very green little caterpillar named Chloe who becomes envious of the talents of her Tuttle Town friends. She begins to think that if she could be like everyone else, then maybe her own luck would change.

The characters of Tuttle Town have their own stories. Each is uniquely named to reflect his or her native land which is an excellent way to make children more aware of different cultures while establishing how we are all alike. They play integral roles in helping Chloe understand just how special she truly is. Chloe visits Bonita the bird who is a beautiful singer, Chitundu the Cheetah, and Borislav the Beaver among others! Little does Chloe know that she has a special lucky secret of her own!

I was incredibly pleased that the book is filled with rhymes which make it fun for children and adults alike. In addition, the pages are filled with bright and colorful illustrations that compliment the story perfectly. As a parent, I think it is incredibly important to teach children how special they truly are, and Chloe's journey to being proud of who she is serves a wonderful conductor for establishing and reinforcing good self-esteem.

This book is an instant classic to add to anyone's bookshelf.

When I saw this wonderful product, I knew it was for me. As a parent of an increasingly independent toddler, I am always looking for added safety measures, and the Vital ID bracelet is fabulous!

These waterproof, stylish, and adjustable bracelets insure your child has your contact information with them at all times in case he or she wanders off, becomes lost, or is accidentally separated from you. In addition, the interchangeable and updateable ID cards provide places for you to input your child's name, Birthday, 2 emergency contacts, and vital medical information such as allergies. The information cards are hidden in a special sleeve inside the bracelet and can only be seen once the bracelet is removed.

As soon as I received the bracelet in the mail, I couldn't wait to show it to my daughter who is eager to wear any piece of jewelry. I chose a pink one for her, but there are a variety of bright color options in addition to camouflage which makes them attractive to boys and girls!

I was impressed by the quality; it was comfortable to wear but durable enough to withstand any wear and tear. The bracelet is held in place by a series of velcro strips which keep it snug and secure even in the water. This makes it perfect for the beach, pool, or any other water activities. In addition, these are great alternatives to scribbling your contact information down on the back of an old receipt from your purse when dropping your child off at a playdate! (I'm so guilty of this!) They are also excellent for trips to the mall, amusement parks, or any outings for that matter!

The Vital ID Bracelets are recommended for children ages 3-9, and they will fit wrists with a circumference up to 6 inches. My daughter is almost 2, but she still loves to wear hers! I also wish they made them in adult sizes... I would love one for my husband. :) Just kidding.

The DVD provides step-by-step instructions on nail clipping, swaddling, bathing, rectal temperatures, diaper changes, and more!

My favorite part of the book, aside from all the instructions, was the list of symptoms that which accompany common illnesses and which ones warranted immediate attention.
